Our search process has been careful considered and tailored to our industry expertise using a up-to-date techniques based on a number of interview technique philosophies and leadership based analysis.

 

Our Candidate

We have an 8 stage process 

 

Stage1: Project Definition

As the first stage of the project, we invest considerable time in order to fully understanding our Clients requirements and market in which they are currently operating in.  This enables us to identify the correct methodologies, project plan and timescales.   From this we will identify the correct people/team to work on the position. 

 

Stage 2: Target Company List

 

From this research a Target Company List will be developed considering all suitable companies on the market. The list of companies can be established with the aid of guidelines from the instruction brief from which we can approach potential candidates.

 

Stage 3: Search

 

We are the boutique search firm with an enviable network which we use in order to start locating the best possible candidates to approach.   We use a numerous databases and physical and virtual environments as well as long standing industry connections in order to locate the right individuals to create a Long List.   The Long List will be refined to create a list of the most suitable individuals; those we intend to approach about this position and presented digitally to our clients.

 

Stage 4: Screening and Selection

 

Discreet calls will be made to call all candidates on the target list, not mentioning our Client’s name until suitability and interest are confirmed.

 

How, and by whom such an approach is made can make material difference to the response of the targeted individual.  market knowledge and reputation, and that of our Expert’s holds gravitas and facilitates reaching key individuals – direct contact details for many of these individuals often enables this.

We have worked very hard to incorporate a number of different Interview techniques into our process particular to serve the Industry market place.   The interview will be tailored to ensure both technical competencies as well as personal aspects of potential candidates are evaluated.

 

More than ever, companies are keen to ensure that new leaders will incorporate leadership skills and we believe that our interview techniques provide a thorough screening of the candidate.  However, in support of this process we offer a network of pyschmetic profiling tests and access to business psychologists available in order to support the search process.  These can be use at either the shortlist or final stages of the process to underpin the the profiling already undertaken. 

 

Stage 5: Short List Presentation.

 

Following interviews, a short list of the most suitable candidates will be presented alongside a comprehensive report assessing each candidate’s suitability, affordability, and summarising specific issues to consider in respect of individual candidates. We 

Stage 6: Client Interview

We will coordinate interviews between short listed candidates selected for interview by our Client and ensure all candidates are briefed on the position. We can arrange video conferencing facilities to enable interviews to take place remotely as desired.

Stage 7: Offer to Completion.

 

We will provide assistance and advice on making offers to selected candidates. Once an offer has been accepted, we will work closely with our Client to ‘stage manage’ the resignation process.

 

At this critical stage, Ryder Executive Search will prepare successful candidates for resignation and try to pre-empt any attempt by their existing employers to counter offer the candidate.

 

We will remain in contact with any potential alternative candidates that may have been identified in the event of negotiations with the preferred individual not working out.

 

When the time comes to inform unsuccessful candidates of their elimination from the process, we will ensure this is done in a sensitive and professional manner.

Stage 8: Review and follow up

 

In order to ensure that we keep delivering the best possible service to our clients we always undertake a review of each process in order to check we have successfully met our clients needs and if possible improve our service.
